Incense of the day: Almond This fragrant essence may be used as cologne to draw romance, or it may be presented to a lover in a heart-shaped bottle. It may also be added to facial rinses or to your bathwater. Ingredients include two handfuls red or pink rose petals, one handful of dried lavender, one cup vodka, two tablespoons orange blossom water, six drops jasmine oil, two tablespoons rosewater, and five tablespoons spring water. Pour the vodka over the rose petals and lavender in a glass container. Cover, and let the mixture stand for three days. Strain the mixture with a fine cotton cloth before adding the other ingredients to the container. Seal and shake well. Pour the contents into an atomizer or airtight bottle. |
