Incense of the day: Myrrh The following spell uses the August Sun to empower a cord or ribbon. This can be used in knot magic later in the winter, when the Sun's strength has ebbed. Before the summer ends, obtain a yellow or gold-colored cord and offer it to the August Sun. Let it absorb the sunlight and say: Before autumn leaves, Protect me from winter's grief. I thank the Lady; I thank the Lord For the power flowing through this cord. To complete the spell, tie six knots in the cord. During winter, if you need some solar power to energize a ritual light an orange candle and untie one knot. |
