Spell: Seed Blessing Ritual

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Silver
Incense of the day: Coriander

Today is the feast day of "Cold Sophie," the last of the Ice Saints. The "Ice Saints" (Mamertus, Pancras, Gervais, and Cold Sophie) celebrate their feast days from May 11 to 14, a time that is traditionally frosty. Use this day to prepare your garden for planting and to bless your seeds and bedding plants. Spread your seed packets on your altar or kitchen table. Burn a green candle dressed with vetivert. Spend some time visualizing the beautiful garden you'll have this year. Say:

Blessed Gaia, mother of us all,
Make these plants grow strong and tall.
A bountiful harvest,
Flowers sweet and bright,
Blessed by the Sun and pale moonlight.
Wait until the New Moon of May 16 before planting.
