Any one of the desert family will do, and the spikier the better. To activate a cactus as your new guardian you must feed it. Guardian food is simple: just smash together eggshells, coffee grounds, and a tiny splash of beer. As you bury the food in the plant's pot say, I charge you with the protection of my home and all within it. I trust that you belong to me and I belong to you. We will tend to each other. Be blessed in the light, Be blessed through the night. We shall be friends. It is so! |
