Spell: Parentalia Divination

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Brown
Incense of the day: Lavender

On this day, the Romans celebrated Parentalia by honoring their deceased ancestors. Honor your dead by visiting their graves with gifts of food and flowers, or by making an ancestral altar with photos of your departed relatives. Whether you're at the gravesite or at your altar, light a new candle and quiet your mind. Begin with a prayer to your ancestors, asking them if they have a message for you. Meditate for twenty minutes. When you finish meditating, throw a tarot card spread. Your reading should be especially meaningful. Then, just for fun, try this traditional love divination performed on Valentine's Eve. Write the names of three potential lovers on separate slips of paper. Roll the slips of paper in clay balls and drop them in a bowl of water. Your lover will be the first clay ball to rise to the surface.
