LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Escape Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: White
Incense of the day: Geranium

Today is the birthday of Harry Houdini (1874–1926), the famous magician and escape artist. To escape from a situation that binds you, gather together a sharp cutting knife, a length of cord with the ends tied together, a small black candle, and dragon's blood incense. Breathe deeply and ground yourself. Contemplate the situation that binds you but don't get caught up in the emotion of it. Light the black candle and the dragon's blood incense. Gather the cord in your hand and wave it through the incense and chant, "Banish suppression and oppression" three times. Do the same with the black candle. With the knife, cut the cord in three places, and chant with each cut, "By the power of the sword, I gain freedom with cut cord." Place the cord in front of the candle, stretch out your arms and shout at least three times, "I am so happy now that I am FREE!" Bury the remains of the cord and dispose of the candle wax and incense ash in the same way.
