| With the Moon waxing and Beltane magic still rippling through the air (and earth!) it's a great time to plant. Gardens take many forms-even a few pots on a windowsill counts-but all can be sacred spaces to commune with the Mother Goddess, the Green Man, the Fey, or yourself. If you have a garden, spend some time today tending, and maybe putting in a new addition. If you don't have a garden, put a potted basil or sage in your sunniest window, or claim a corner of the yard if you're feeling really ambitious. The following blessing can be used regardless: fill a bowl or pitcher of water and stand in or next to your garden.
Charge the water by chanting: Life of water, life of air, life of fire, life of earth, life begets life, grow in life. Then water your garden, focusing on your connection with the green beings there. |
