Spell: Come Out of the Darkness

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This is the day Bernadette Soubiroux saw the Virgin Mary in a grotto in Lourdes, which had also been a shrine to Persephone, goddess of the Underworks, who was taken there by Hades. Invoke Persephone today to assist you in overcoming darkness and coming back into the light.
Burn a black or indigo candle anointed with patchouli oil. Circle the candle with a ring of cypress, myrrh, and dittany of Crete. Hold a piece of jet in your right hand and meditate on your dark side and how the negativities came about.
See the darkness enter the pieve of jet, and when done, throw the herbs, jet, and leftover herbs in a body of moving water, or bury in a hidden spot that won't be disturbed. Reward yourself by eating a pomegranate (Persephone's fruit) and contemplate your new lease on life.
