Most of us could use a little help with our finances. There are many gods and goddesses associated with money, and sometimes working with them may help stretch your available funds just a little further.
The Romans had several, but the best known were Abundantia, goddess of abundance, and Moneta, goddess of wealth and prosperity. You can find their likenesses on Roman coinage. Abundantia was so popular that she actually made it into Christian sainthood. She became the Saint of Wealth and Good Fortune. Moneta started out as the Greek goddess of memory and mother of the Muses and became Juno Moneta, protectress of money under the Romans. Our own modern word money comes from this root word. Remembering these goddesses in times of financial need can only help. Place a coin on your altar in their memory to ask for their help. |
