Spell: Body Image Healing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Although Beltane is often said to be tomorrow, Beltane celebrations traditionally begin tonight-an evening also known as Walpurgis Night. Walpurga is an ancient Teutonic grain goddess who was honored on this day. Later, a Saint Walpurga appeared in Germany, and her feast day fell on May 1st.
With all of this in mind, this is an excellent day to work magic to heal food and body-image issues. Not only is Saint Walpurga said to help heal eating disorders, but faeries(whose realm merges with our own tonight, perhaps more strongly than on any other night) remind us to take pleasure in the sensual realm, which includes food, sex, and simply being in our own bodies. So tonight, light a candle to Walpurga. Set the intention to fully love and accept your body and appetites as they are. Anoint your belly, heart, and forehead with essential oil of jasmine, and dance the night away.
