| It's the end of the work week, and whatever your Friday rituals or spellwork, why not use the poetry form of the limerick to bring in some humor?
The creator of the limerick is unknown. First noted after 1820 and into the mid 1800s, this form of poem consists of five lines, rhyming aabba. While very popular in nursery rhymes, limericks are often quite ribald and for adults only. To prepare for the weekend, I offer the following limerick, safe for any age: "It's Friday, the weekend is nigh, With errands and chores piled high. If Hestia please, Work's accomplished with ease. What's not done? I'll turn a blind eye!" |
