LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Fire Divination Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

During the dark months of the year, you can practice divination with fire. Pyromancy is the art of scrying and seeing divinatory signs in fire and flames. If you have a fireplace, you can practice gazing at a fire. You can also use a candle.

Take at least three deep breaths. While you breathe, work on clearing your mind and being fully present in the moment. Once you feel more relaxed, allow your gaze to soften and begin watching the flame(s) without trying to force an outcome. Stay in this relaxed state and be open to the shapes/signs/symbols that you may see. Fire divination takes practice. To get in a receptive, magical frame of mind, you can say:

In this fire, on this night, help

me gaze with perfect sight.

Show me a sign and reveal to me

the message that I need to see.

Blessed be!

Extinguish the fire safely when you are done.
