LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: A Spell to Stop Cussing

A habit of cussing can place an aura of negative energy around you. Using an expletive can be really gratifying at times, but try to save it for a "special" occasion. That is, instead of peppering your speech with profanity, emphasize the positive by making a list of loftier words or names as substitutes when you feel the need to use a four-letter word-Rumplestiltskin, or toadstone, for example. Use your imagination and your wit. When you are finished making your list, familiarize yourself with the words and practice using them. Then, put a spoonful of honey in your mouth and say:

"From now on, only admirable words will flow from this mouth. So mote it be."
