January 25 is celebrated by Scots people as the Robert Burns Supper, named for the man regarded as the national poet of Scotland. Friends gather to eat "neeps and taties" (turnips and potatoes) and toast Burns with glasses of whisky. This is a wonderful time to enhance creativity for yourself and your friends. Carry stones that represent inspiration, such as aventurine, carnelian, labradorite, or amethyst. Call upon the poetic muses as each attendee tells a story, sings a song, or writes a short poem in Burns's honor. |
