Samhain is coming, and in modern times, we recognize this as the season of death. As we make our way through this season, we often think about what no longer serves us and how we can move on from those things. One way to do so is to hold a funeral for those items. In this case, we are not discussing physical items, but rather concepts, patterns, thought processes, etc. that we are getting rid of. For this spell you will need:

• A miniature pumpkin and carving tools
• Strips of paper and a pen/pencil
• A shovel
• Access to a secluded area of public land

Carve out the insides of the pumpkin and dispose of them. Next, write down all the things you want to bury on the paper and then place the strips inside the pumpkin. When you have filled up the pumpkin, put the top back on and take your pumpkin and shovel to an area of land where you can hold a little funeral and bury the pumpkin safely.
