LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Smashing Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This is a spell to release frustration. You will need either a seed in a seedpod or a nut in its shell. A peanut works well, as does star anise. What really matters is that it can be crushed with a mortar and pestle, so avoid the really tough options, like walnuts.

Spend a moment holding the nut or seed, letting yourself feel frustration or anger. Don't judge yourself, and just allow the emotions to fill you. Then imagine the feelings flowing down your arm, through your hand, and into the nut.

Put the nut or seedpod in your mortar and pestle. Grind it to bits, paying attention to how you are using the physical energy in your body to channel your anger into destruction. When finished, seal the remains in an envelope. Place the envelope on the floor and stomp on it three times. Throw it in the garbage and move on.
