Incense of the day: Lilac Think about the future today. That is, make some plans that take a long time to fulfill. After all, autumn is the time for planting spring bulbs like crocus, tulips, and daffodils. You do a lot of work and you don't see the results for months, but it's certainly worth the wait. These bulbs flower when you most need the burst of color, and so will your plants flower just when you most need them to. As you dig into the chilly October earth, recite this prayer: I work today- not for tomorrow, but for a time to come. I work for hope- and not for sorrow, though every year brings some. Lady of the Earth, accept these hours- the best I have to give. Lord of the Sun, turn them to flowers- in spring when all dreams live. |
