Spell: Noise-Warding Ritual

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Purple
Incense of the day: Nutmeg

Once again, the old world is dissolving into chaos as the new one is born. As in the Saturnalia, work is put aside today, and things not normally permissible are now permitted. During the Saturnalia in Rome, slaves were permitted to give orders to their masters. Like the Chinese, we must make as much noise as possible at this moment of great change to ward off danger. Instead of fireworks, use New Year's noisemakers that are made just for this occasion. Celebrate the holiday with friends. At the stroke of midnight, kiss the one closest to you for luck throughout the year.
