LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Shango Invocation

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Pink
Incense of the day: Dill

Shango is the magnetic warrior spirit of the Yoruba people whose number is six. He is noble, elegant, protective, and tricky. To engage the positive aspects of his spirit go outside where there are plenty of trees. Face northeast, as it is his direction. Burn his favorite incense, frankincense tears, in a censer, being careful to use fireproof protective surfaces. Spread some cayenne peppers, hibiscus flowers, and bay leaves around the circumference of a tree that has some of Shango's characteristics. Keep your head low; defer to this spirit. Walk away backwards, as quickly as you can without falling, until you are well away from the tree.
