Incense of the day: Lily Bastille Day commemorates the birth of the French republic and the fight for liberty, equality, and fraternity. Today is the ideal time to honor all those who work and fight for these rights. Take time to consider what these words mean to you and how you work for them in your life. Then make a list with two columns. In the first column, write down every way that you work toward these goals. In the second, write down ideas for how you might be more effective or take different actions in your fight. Then place three white candles around your list. As you light the first candle, honor all those who have worked for liberty, equality, and fraternity. With the second candle, honor yourself for all that you have done in this fight. And with the last, choose to continue your work and try out your new ideas. |
