Spell: Bringing Light and Creativity into the New Year

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Imbolc, or Brigid, celebrates the rising of the light that was reborn with the winter solstice. Let's celebrate the sun and work for a manifestation of creativity. Think about creativity in your life. How do you want it to manifest? In specific projects? Generally?
Set up your altar with symbols, candles, and incense holders in the four directions. The incense holders should be gold, though abalone will work as well. Be sure to set your charcoal briquettes on a bed of sand.
Set a figure of Brigit in the center.
As you cast your circle, light the candles and the briquettes.
Invoke the goddess:

"Great Brigit, goddess of the sun, goddess of light and heat, smithcraft, and poetry-be present with us on this holy day. Fill us with the power of your light and let it manifest as creativity in our lives."

You can add to this invocation, if you'd like.
Sprinkle Vesta powder on the briquettes. As they spark and sparkle, visualize each little spark growing stonger and flying up into your soul, touching your imagination, your hands, and your heart.
Visualize the ways creativity will manifest in your life this year. Add more Vesta powder for more power.
Carry the sparks of Brigit's power in your heart throughout the year.
