Spell: Setsubun

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

In Japan, Setsubun means "dividing the seasons," and this tradition involves throwing roasted soybeans while shouting "In with good luck, out with demons!"
This is a kind of symbolic spring cleaning ritual.
Today perform this ritual in order to clear negativity from your environment. Visualize the end of winter and the beginning of spring (even though it's a bit early in most areas).
Imagine the soybean bringing good health and vitality while chasing away any unwanted energy. You can freely toss soybeans around your home and yard, if you'd like, or choose a more methodical approach.
Place a bean in each room and, as you set it in place, use this chant:

"Bring good fortune to this place.
Purge all harm without a trace."
