Spell: Cat Protection Amulet

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Those of us who have cats love them very much. Cats are sacred to the goddess Freya, who adored her cats, and Friday is named for Freya. If you have a cat that roams outdoors, here's a spell to make a protection amulet. You'll need a small amulet of amber, jade, or moonstone; it doesn't need to be large or expensive and shouldn't be longer than a tag on your cat's collar-a lone earring would work. Rub sandalwood oil on the amulet, and place it next to a white candle. Light the candle and charge the amulet:

"Freya, I charge this amulet in your name,
Watch over my cat with your blessed
flame.
Keep her/him safe be it day or night,
Be it under the sun or the pale moonlight."

Once the candle burns down, clip the amulet to your cat's collar.
