Spell: Mari

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The International Day of the Basque Language (today) is a day designated to honor this most mysterious of languages, spoken by residents of the Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain. Without any known relatives, Basque is suspected to be very ancient, perhaps the last surviving vestige of a language family that was once widespread across Europe. Mari is the beloved, earthy, cave-dwelling moon and nature goddess of the Basques. She sits atop their ancient pantheon and is an extremely positive and powerful representation of the feminine divine. To petition her help with prosperity and personal power, cleanse a white quartz point in sunlight and tie a dollar bill and a fresh flower around it with red yarn. Visit a cave or (alternatively) a hollowed-out area at the base of a tree. Connect with Mari's essence while feeling power and prosperity flow into your energy field. Then leave the crystal in the cave.
