Spell: Apple Blossom Blessings

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The apple tree is prominent in Celtic lore and is a powerful symbol of love, abundance, and contentment. This spell is meant to open you to the blessings of life and the beauty of your surroundings.

For this spell you will need a branch of apple blossoms, which you can obtain from the woods or a local orchard at this time (or you may buy an artificial branch from a craft store if apple trees don't grow in your area).

Lay the branch on your altar and light three votive candles in front of it. The candle flames symbolize the Celtic symbolism of the number three, which is about completeness and unity. Looking at the branch of blossoms illuminated by the candles, meditate on all the positive things in your life: your health, your loved ones, your home, your work, your hobbies and talents. Visualize these blessings as the abundant blossoms on an apple tree, a symbol of life's potential renewing itself each spring.

Place the cut branch in a vase of water so you can enjoy the fragrant blossoms for a few days.
