Spell: Winter, Be Gone!

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

There are some people who love winter, and others who are more than ready for it to be done by the end of January. There’s no way to speed up the change of the seasons, but you can connect to more tropical energies when the winter blues have got you down.

For this exercise you’ll need a candle, a playlist of summer songs, and a drink that reminds you of warmer weather. Start by safely lighting the candle and saying:

Today I chase the winter blues away!

Start your playlist and take a big sip of your drink. Let the music and your drink seep into you, and think about the memories they conjure up.

Stare into your candle for a bit and let the flame remind you of warmer days ahead. Imagine the candle flame as the sun in the sky, warming your skin. Drink, listen to music, and look at the flame until your winter blues have gone away. Blow out the candle when you are done. Repeat as necessary during the cold time of year.
