Spell: Rue Altar/Table Wash

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Rue is an especially useful herb, particularly when cleaning your magical space or trying to keep negativity out of your mundane spaces. For this spell you will need some dried rue, a pitcher of water with a lid, and a towel. Simply add the dried rue to your pitcher of water and let it steep for twenty-four hours. Strain the rue from the water and use your rue-infused wash for cleaning. Post-Samhain, we recommend using this rue wash to cleanse your altar. Remove your altar items and wash away any lingering traces of death.

With the holidays coming up, use your rue water to wipe down your kitchen table and floors. The energy of the rue will keep everyone who visits your home in good spirits and will help stop nasty arguments before they get started. When you are done cleaning indoors, dispose of the rue water outside near your front door to keep out unwanted visitors.
