Is there something in your life that you wish to change, yet you cannot figure out how to do so? This meditation can help. Find a time and place where you can sit uninterrupted for twenty minutes. Create a sacred space, such as by casting a circle. Use an incense stick or cone—frankincense, lavender, rosemary, or a commercial blend designed for contemplation. Light your incense in a safe container on a flat surface. Sit comfortably and concentrate on the burning incense, and use your intuition to "see" images in the smoke. Incense fumes that hover low mean a condition that is "stuck" or fixed in one place; a continuous circle indicates a situation that is constantly returning to the same spot; wavering smoke can mean indecision; smoke spiraling upward designates slow, steady progress; while a rising line can indicate the situation is moving forward and upward. Jot down some of the images that you envision: faces, material objects, animals, written letters, or sigils. |
