Today is the celebration of Anahita, revered in ancient Persia as the goddess of water, fertility, and war (protecting her people). In her honor, dress a white or gold candle with lotus oil. Set the candleholder in a sturdy, firesafe bowl, and pour some water into the bowl. Place a few branches or twigs of greenery around it. Light the candle and say: Anahita, I honor your fierce protectivity and your generous gifts of fertility. Thank you for your gifts this season. I ask for your help in ______ (name something you wish to grow or protect). If possible, burn the candle all the way down. Otherwise, extinguish and relight it, speaking the spell, for two more days. Take action to manifest your request, and perform the gratitude portion of this ritual again once it is achieved. |
