POSTED UNDER Moon, Rain, Sun

Spell: Sun Energy Meditation

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Rose
Incense of the day: Ginger

This month's Full Moon is called the Wort Moon, because so many plants bloom in this season of Sun and rain. This day also marks the beginning of the sign of Leo, the lion ruled by the Sun. Leo's tarot cards are the Sun and Strength, and some solar gods include Apollo, Helios, Hyperion, Ra, Lugh, Chango, Christ, and Mithras. The Sun's force is both necessary and dangerous. Think of the difference between a golden suntan and a severe sunburn, or a pleasant sunny day and a heatwave followed by drought. Ancient peoples worshiped the Sun, its constancy, as well as its unpredictability, its life force and its capacity from great destruction.
