Winter is the season for hearth fires. If you have a fireplace or a wood stove, you can build a fire and enjoy some of the oldest magic known to humankind. If you don't have a permanent hearth, you may wish to substitute with a smaller fire in a cauldron, or candleholders attached to a log.
The hearth is the heart of a home, and the fire is the light and warmth that gives power to the hearth.
