Spell: Fire Chant

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Winter is the season for hearth fires. If you have a fireplace or a wood stove, you can build a fire and enjoy some of the oldest magic known to humankind. If you don't have a permanent hearth, you may wish to substitute with a smaller fire in a cauldron, or candleholders attached to a log.
The hearth is the heart of a home, and the fire is the light and warmth that gives power to the hearth. In ancient times, one of the home altars usually sat on or nrear the hearth, giving space to one of the many hearth goddesses. When you kindle a fire, say this chant to enhance its magic:

Fire of old, burn
Seasons of time, turn
Power of light, glow
Passion of love, flow
