Spell: Spell to Discover the Nature of Sacrifice

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Take a black candle and hold it while pondering all you have given up so far this year in order to achieve the goals you set out to accomplish. This might be personal time, money, or energy spent on reaching your goals. Try to imagine what your year would have been like had you not made the sacrifices you've made. Now ponder the same energies regarding your whole life, acknowledging that even the difficult times had their purpose, whether it was in helping you grow stronger or more knowledgeable in some way, or sending you in a needed direction. Carve symbols on the candle representing your sacrifices. Breathe deeply as you do so, keeping yourself calm and centered. Light the candle, saying:

"I'm open to understanding why these sacrifices had to be made."

Acknowledge your personal deities' best wishes for you and the evolution of your spirit. Be blessed.
