| Beltane is all about energy! Whether it's energy in love, energy in the ground and planted seeds, or energy in the balefire itself, energy is building and growing all around us at this time of year.
Harness the power of that energy by writing out a list of your requests to send on to the gods through fire. If you can't build a fire, use a selfigniting charcoal tablet in a cauldron. Write up your list, then toss some sacred herbs into the fire (or onto the tablet). Frankincense, myrrh, copal, or dragon's blood are all good choices. Allow the herbs to burn, and relish in their scent. Feel free to dance around or drum to build even more energy. Toss your list into the fire (or onto the tablet) and ask your deities to grant your wishes. End with a heartfelt and enthusiastic "so mote it be!" |
