| The Egyptians used hyssop for purification. To spiritually and ritually cleanse yourself, buy dried hyssop and make a strong tea with it. Ritually smudge your bath with sage or frankincense and myrrh incense. Light a blue candle, and then pour the hyssop tea into the bath, or over yourself while in the shower. Chant: "I am pure, pure as Isis; I am pure, pure as Osiris; I am pure, pure as Horus." Repeat or continue the chant adding your favorite Egyptian gods. If you can find a hyssop-scented bath gel, so much the better! You may also use cucumber and elder flower-scented soap or bath gel, or a "pure" soap such as Ivory. |
