Spell: Brew a Cuppa

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Our first sip in the morning is precious. The first sip warms our hearts and galvanizes our minds into action. After our first cup, we are ready for the day.

But before you take that first sip, why not pause and give thanks to the earth for providing your delicious tea or coffee? It can be hard to wait, to step back a moment, before your lips touch the cup. But the reward is worth it.

Brew your morning libation with the intention of giving gratitude to the earth. If possible, step outside and raise your cup to the east. Bring your cup to your nose. Smell the essence of the tea or coffee beans and say:

"Thank you for this blessed coffee (or
tea). I share my first drink with thee."

Pour a small amount of your drink onto the earth. Sip, drink, and be merry!
