Spring is a time of transformation. A cocoon spell helps us burst out of tired winter patterns. Go to a place where you will be undisturbed for at least thirty minutes. A floor or a bed works well. Wrap yourself up completely in a blanket or quilt, including over your head. (Make sure you can breathe easily.) Follow your breath until you feel safe and protected. Imagine yourself emerging into spring’s beautiful light, where anything and everything is possible. Slowly expose your head, then each arm and each leg, and remove the blanket until you’re lying on top of it. Close your eyes and breathe in the freedom. Mull over a few options for this new freedom. When you are ready, slowly return to the present space. Write in your journal about your experiences and what you intend to explore in this season’s cycle. |
