Spell: Spell for Religious Tolerance

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Lavender
Incense of the day: Narcissus

Queen Elizabeth I gained the throne on this day in 1558. As power shifted from the Catholic Mary to the Protestant Elizabeth, a new wave of religious persecution began. Sound familiar? Begin your spell by lighting one white and two blue candles. These candles symbolize the three monotheistic religions, the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish faiths. Include on your altar pictures of religious and political leaders you feel need more tolerance. Hold each picture, one at a time, and visualize that person at peace. Visualize that person tolerant of other peoples' beliefs. The Buddha said:

All we experience is preceded by mind, led by mind, made by mind. Speak or act with a peaceful mind and happiness follows like a shadow that never leaves.
