Spell: Preparing for Winter’s Inward Journey

To prepare for the season of cold, in early winter at your favorite outdoor place gather three acorns, a white-handled knife, and some blue corn meal. Sprinkle a light dusting of corn meal on the ground, then cup the acorns in both hands and raise them to the sky, saying: "Mother of grain create sacred space. Lord of trees protect this place. Prepare me for winter's cold and snow, and send me a vision of where I must go. By the power of three, so mote it be." Using the knife, loosen a small patch of soil, then gently bury one of the acorns. Leave a second acorn as an offering. Keep the third on your altar or special place as you meditate or do a solo ritual through the winter.
