Spell: A Balance Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

During the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, no matter which holidays we celebrate, it's easy to get caught up in trying to do too much.
Go to a local park, your own backyard, or a vacant lot where there is a tree with no lower branches. Approach the tree reverently, telling it in your mind that you are spent and you need recharging. Ask the tree politely if it will help you ground. Then send energetic "roots" down deep, right alongside the tree's roots. Lean in and touch or, better still, hug the tree. Allow it to take your fatigue and frustration. Breathe deeply and steadily, and just let those scattered energies go. As you inhale, smell the rich scents of the tree and earth around you, and let the steady, balanced energy of the tree fill you with vitality and wisdom. Honor yourself and your accomplishments, allowing rest when appropriate, knowing tomorrow is another day.
