Spell: Leaf Divination

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Walking through the woods while leaves fall from the trees is one of autumn's most magical treats. Trees have been a source of spiritual sustenance and symbolic divination for centuries. The leaves can also have messages for us.
Go to a place where you can walk under falling leaves. Catch them, or pick up ones you are attracted to. What messages do the colors of the leaves impart?

Green = growth, abundance, luck, health

Red = passion, love, strength, power

Yellow = joy, hope, sunshine

Brown = stability, comfort, home, simplicity

Orange = energy, balance, enthusiasm, warmth

Purple = spirituality, mystery, transformation, wisdom

Consider everything about each leaf to determine its message. Is it whole? Is it dry, or still fresh? What kind of tree did the leaf come from? Use your favorite reference about tree symbolism to determine what meaning the tree has for you.
