Spell: Ditch Dolls

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is Hinamatsuri, the Japanese doll festival. Dolls representing the Heian court are displayed on a red-carpeted platform. Participants also make dolls out of paper or straw and sail them down a river to remove impurities.

For a modern Western twist on this, you will need:

* A large leaf or other compostable, recyclable material for each attribute you wish to release
* Scissors
* Water

Cut each leaf into a doll-like shape. Take your leaves to a moving body of water. Drop each leaf into the water, saying:

(Attribute), flow out of my life,
making room for something better.

Or rip each leaf into tiny pieces as you name and release the attribute, then wash the pieces down the drain in your sink.

When you have ditched all your dolls, give thanks, turn, and walk away without looking back.

You have taken literal steps to release what no longer works for you!
