Spell: Holly Blessing Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Holly is a popular Yuletide seasonal plant because of its bright red berries and evergreen leaves. It is ruled by Saturn and is often used in magic for protection, drawing good fortune, warding off storms, and repelling the evil eye. If you’re looking for a beneficial bush or small tree to plant near the front door of your house, holly is definitely a friend to Witches. Remember to give it small offerings throughout the year (even just some kind words praising its strength and beauty) and tend to its needs.

If you cannot plant anything where you live, take advantage of the season to procure a small bunch of holly branches to hang on your door. Bind them together with a festive ribbon, and upon hanging, say:

Holly, holly, berry bright,
Please guard our home, day and night.
