Spell: Land Back

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The only way we can account for history is to try and walk a path of understanding in the present. If you live in the United States and are not yourself genetically Native American, then please take a moment today to learn about whose land you occupy as a colonial settler. Knowing is only half the battle. Give this day a sense of reverence, wear red, and learn earth history. Host a farm-to[1]table family meal or bonfire in honor of the land and promote awareness.

We can heal our community by speaking to the earth today. Please support Native-led direct actions; discover how you can help the LANDBACK movement. Say a prayer to the spirits that you are already sensing and lift up your voice to honor them. Here is a translation of a Salish prayer to recite:

Hello! Greetings, my relations.

Ancestors, I love you. I sense you

all around and I hear you. I am

listening well and learning to honor

the old ways. Please guide me

toward understanding and service

to my community. Thank you.
