Spell: Releasing Fear

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Sometimes fear can leave us too panicked to take action. The new moon is the "zero point" where the lunar cycle renews, and using this time to cast out our fear and move forward can be very effective. You need a cup of water, a cauldron, a black candle, a piece of paper, and pen. To begin, write what you fear on the paper and hold it, pouring your fear into it. Light the black candle. Say:

"I return to the beginning to begin anew."

Light the paper in the candle's flame and drop it in the cauldron.
Say:

"Mother Goddess, hear my plea, banishthis fear out of me."

Pour the cup of water into the cauldron and say:

"Fear is released into the universal waters; the power builds once more."

Snuff out the candle, and when it has cooled, bury the ashes, water, and candle in the earth.
