Choose eight people whom you feel genuine respect for. Using a metallic silver pen on black paper, describe their influence on you and the goals or abilities that they have motivated you to pursue. Enclose each message in a silver envelope and bless it with the following invocation of Mercury, then drop the envelopes in the mail. This passage is from Book III, Chapter 7, of The Picatrix, a grimoire of astrological magic that was originally written in Arabic and translated into Latin sometime around 1000 BCE.
