Spell: Nurture Nature Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

It's May, and things are growing! This is a perfect time to do a nurture nature spell. You will need a small houseplant or a cutting from a friend or neighbor, rooted and planted in a pot. Hold the potted plant in your hands and follow your breath for a few minutes until you feel calm and aligned with the living plant in your hands. Introduce yourself, and give the plant a name. Then, calling it by name, say:

I promise to nurture you to the best of my ability during this growing season.

Put the plant in a special spot where it will get the sunlight it needs. Water it regularly. Feed it. Stop and speak to it every day, and build a relationship with it. Draw it, photograph it, write about it.

As you nurture the plant, it will give you joy in return. If it's an annual or it does not survive, give thanks and compost its remains.
