Depending on where you live, late April can be wintery or springlike. Regardless of the weather today, take a moment to connect to your Mother: Earth. Attune to your internal stress level and assign it a number from zero to ten, with zero being none and ten being a lot. Now remove your shoes and socks, slippers, or boots. Go outdoors in your bare feet. Sit with your feet on the earth, or walk slowly and mindfully for a bit. Take several long, slow breaths. Envision the earth's energy soaking into your feet, up your legs, and flowing throughout your body. Earthing, the practice of attuning to the vibrational energy of the earth, is known to relieve pain, improve sleep, reduce stress, encourage parasympathetic activation, improve healing, and support the natural circadian cycle. After several breaths, reevaluate your stress level, from zero to ten, and notice if it has dropped. |
